I know my title of today's post, is very vague. What do I mean exactly? Before I carry on with what this post is about, firstly, a disclaimer: THIS POST IS NOT DIRECTING TO ANYONE. :) UNLESS YOU'RE ME. the old me.
Today, I am blogging about how I became Happier, more cheerful and to look on the bright side. If you know me in real life, or even follow me on Twitter @czhanusha , you would know I used to be extremely negative. So much that, my friends would actually get irritated. BUT THEY CARED. Looking back now, I guessed I was just a burden. They probably were too mindful with their words and actions around me because they probably didn't know when I would just get irritated or annoyed or just sad. It was definitely the most frustrating part of their life having me as their friend. I mean...sometime some of them are afraid to go to sleep...because something might happen to me at night...( probably a big family fight ). Im not saying my family no longer fights, we just stopped throwing punches... haha this is really funny right...especially since all 3 of us are females. There are still some bickering and shouting here and there but we try to give in or we just avoid each other. Not really a good thing to do...but there's still communication between us.
How did I exactly became the person I was, to who I am today. My life is not really perfect or anything. Nothing has changed much since 1 year ago. In fact, im more stressed. Here's a few tips on how I became someone for the better :) [continue reading ] :
1. Firstly, social media. Regardless if you admit it or not, we're all obsessed with the internet. truthfully, the internet make up our lives, it controls us in some way, and one of those ways is our emotions.. Taking Twitter for example, if you follow those twitter account whereby the rant all the times about the misfortunes or the bad incident they go through...these account don't just spill all their frustrations out one day..i mean a tweet or 2 will do no harm. instead these are the accounts who go on and on and on every single day. depressions account makes you relate to them.. at the same time they brain wash you. Imagine if you're going through a bad day and come across a suicidal tweet...wont you feel like you to suicide? THEREFORE, what I did, was , to unfollow all the negative accounts and the accounts that retweet those kind of tweet. I even visited social networks less often just because...I didn't want it to control me.
2. I decided to fill my schedule like packed. Its not a healthy thing but it was for a month only. WHy? when u start wanting to change, I would be difficult. I mean you have been used to it. therefore, if im busy I wont think of such thoughts..
3.FRIENDS. Friends kind of have an influence to you. Therefore...I stopped hanging out as much with people who complain all the time and een those who pushed me down. I became closer to people who were happy more of the time. Bascially surround yourself with people who are positive and motivates you.
4. LEARN TO SAY NO. I believe this is the most important step ever. you just have to learn to say no at the things that you are not comfortable in doing. be confident in who you are and who you want to be.
5. Lastly. I like sleeping feeling happy. I either read a text message or text someone that will me cheer me up. Or even think back on what I did today, what someone said to me that made me grateful for.
These are the steps I took. This might not work for everyone. I'm not an expert, but these are just a few tips from me. BE CHEERFUL. YOURE BEAUTIFUL.
oh leading a healthy lifestyle..is extremely healthy too :)
